Poppy “Falling in Love” is an ornamental variety with scarlet-orange, rose, pink, and peach semi-double, double, and picotee blooms. Inspired by the iconic scarlet poppy, it carries historical symbolism of sleep, dreams, and remembrance, and has been admired in art since the pre-Raphaelite era.
A hardy annual poppy variety, “Falling in Love” produces vibrant, multi-coloured blooms ideal for garden borders, wildflower meadows, or containers. The flowers are long-lasting and visually striking, adding romantic charm to any garden space.
Plants grow up to 80 cm tall. Flowers appear in clusters with varied sizes and bicoloured patterns.
Open-pollinated Papaver rhoeas seeds, selected for ornamental purposes with a mix of scarlet-orange, rose, pink, and peach semi-double, double, and picotee blooms.
Sow seeds directly into well-prepared soil in early spring (or autumn in mild climates). Prefer full sun and well-drained soil. Do not cover seeds deeply; light aids germination. Water moderately and thin seedlings to allow growth. Once established, poppies thrive with minimal care and produce abundant blooms throughout summer.
